16th International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) „Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Economic Development”

14 - 16 September 2017

Kathmandu, Nepal


The Cluster House, supporting partner of the event at the University of Essex, organizational member of the Global TCI Network Barcelona and partner institution of the INSME Roma, is inviting you to join the entrepreneurial journey from Venice to Kathmandu for the 16th International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) conference on 14-16 September, 2017.


The Cluster House Networks Members could submit papers in line with the requirements. The Cluster House is inviting members with appropriate expertise to send us their interest for participation at the 16th IEF. The Cluster House will suggest names for the conference organising committee. Selected panellists will be entitled to a waiver of 50% of their conference registration fees.


In keeping with the IEF's objectives of a constant search for new terrains for entrepreneurship and innovation, and enabling the articulation of less familiar voices of creativity and opportunity development, we seek your involvement at the conference. Against the majestic backdrop of the Himalayas, the small country of Nepal has witnessed extraordinary changes which has tested the resilience of her people, underscoring the importance of sustainability through the generation of new ideas and the realisation of opportunities in differentiated geographies.


The following speakers and panellists have already agreed to participate at the conference:

6) Hedda Pahlson-Moller - Business Angel focused on Social Investing, EBAN Impact Investing committee, Luxembourg

Note that the deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to 30 June, 2017. The Cluster House could suggest 6 panellists (one for each of the 6 panels that IEF team aims to run at the conference. The broad themes and topics of the panel sessions include the following:


a) Public Policy and Sustainable entrepreneurship;

b) Gender and sustainable entrepreneurship;

c) Alternative Finance, Impact Investment and sustainable entrepreneurship;

d) Technology, sustainability and entrepreneurship

e) Sustainable entrepreneurship and local economic development;

f) Sharing, frugality, and sustainability models for entrepreneurship development.
